"ILLUMINATION" of Oak Bluffs is the artists interpretation of the annual August festival, and an excellent example of pre-visualization, with the 45 second exposure photograph taken 3 years after the idea was conceived. Like his book "Illusions of Martha's Vineyard" it expresses the viewpoint James Schot has towards photographic art being more involved with picture making than with picturing.
